Fermín Vázquez lidera o escritório b720 Arquitectos desde que o fundou, em 1997, com Ana Bassat.

Foi responsável por alguns dos projetos de arquitetura mais icónicos construídos em Espanha, nos últimos 20 anos, tendo o seu trabalho sido distinguido com vários prémios e integrado publicações e exposições internacionais, nomeadamente no Centro Pompidou, em Paris, e no MoMA, em Nova Iorque.

Foi parceiro, responsável local, de alguns dos mais prestigiados arquitetos internacionais que construíram obras singulares em Espanha, nomeadamente David Chipperfield, Jean Nouvel.

Combina a prática profissional da arquitetura com o ensino. Integrou a Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura em Barcelona, a École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture et de Paysage, em Bordéus, e a Universidad Europea, em Madrid, paralelamente a ensinar e proferir conferências em universidades e instituições académicas espalhadas pelo mundo. Atualmente, é docente na IE School of Architecture em Madrid. Publica regularmente em revistas e jornais internacionais de arquitetura.

Fermín Vázquez será apresentado por Paulo Moreira, arquiteto, Master of Arts pela London Metropolitan University, e Doutor em Arquitetura pela mesma instituição, fundador do atelier Paulo Moreira architectures, co-coordenador do projeto de investigação Observatório da Chicala e diretor artístico do Instituto.

Fermín Vázquez has headed b720 Arquitectos ever since he founded the firm in 1997 jointly with Ana Bassat.
He has been responsible for some of the most iconic architecture projects built in Spain in the last twenty years. His work has received numerous international awards and been featured in international publications and exhibitions at venues such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris and MoMA in New York.
He has been the go-to partner for some of the most prestigious international architects working on unique projects in Spain.
Fermín Vázquez combines his architecture practice with teaching. He has been a faculty member of the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona, the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture et de Paysage in Bordeaux, and the Universidad Europea in Madrid, and has taught and lectured at universities and other academic institutions all over the world. He is currently teaching at the IE School of Architecture in Madrid. He publishes articles in international architecture magazines and journals on a regular basis.

Fermín Vásquez will be present by Paulo Moreira – architect, Master of Arts from the London Metropolitan University, and PhD in Architecture from the same institution; founder of the atelier Paulo Moreira architectures; co-cordinator of the research projet Observatório da Chicala; artistic director of Instituto.
